8 – 11 June 2006
Varna, Bulgaria
International SCENAR
Training Holiday

INVITATION

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the three official national SCENAR Societies of Bulgaria, Ireland and the UK, we have pleasure in inviting you to take part in the 1st International SCENAR Training Holiday.

The main goals of this joint event are:

To provide the international Scenar community with maximally effective information within the flexible context of CPD / CPE (continual professional development and education).

To offer a combination of professional benefit and relaxation – through a wide-ranging exchange of knowledge and experience arising from the direct contact between people sharing common ideals, combined with a wonderful summer holiday at the seaside.

To promote the development of international SCENAR co-operation and the interaction among SCENAR-practitioners from all over the world.

To plan and co-ordinate future activities for the achievement of the great goal – for SCENAR therapy to acquire, world-wide, the position of a serious, distinct and prestigious healing discipline in the field of complementary and alternative medicine.

We are sure that you will find your visit to Bulgaria both fruitful and extremely entertaining; we will certainly consider it a privilege and pleasure to welcome you in Varna in June.

VENUE

Varna - the Black Sea capital of Bulgaria, provides a wide range of social and cultural attractions - from the outstanding treasures in the Archeology Museum (the oldest Thracian gold treasure from Greek antiquity) to the impressive exhibition of the Museum of Medical History; the summer-long festival of classical music, folklore and jazz Varnensko Lyato (Varna Summer), which annually attracts world-class performers.
Within easy reach of Varna are the popular day-trip destinations such as the nature reserves at Kamchiya River and Srebarna Lake, the rock monastery of Aladzha, Queen Marie of Romania's former palace at Balchik with its famous Botanical Garden, the international tourist complexes of Sunny Day, Golden Sands and Albena.

Varna airport has convenient international connections with most parts of the world. There are excellent value (if booked early) direct flights with British Airways between London and Varna.
Transport from Varna airport to the Seminar venue is less than a 30 minutes drive and can be organized upon request.

The SCENAR Seminar will be held in the International House of Scientists "Fr. Joliot-Curie" - a place with tradition in organizing international scientific, social and cultural events, which is situated in the "Saints Konstantin and Elena" resort - the oldest resort along the Bulgarian seaside, famous for its abundance of hot therapeutic mineral baths. More than 50 hotels in the resort offer accommodation – from tidy nice small family hotels to luxurious 5-star tourist complexes.

The resort is only 9 km away from Varna and a regular town bus service is available every 10 minutes.

TIMING

8 - 11 June 2006 - at the beginning of June the weather at the Black Sea
is usually very pleasant (average temperatures - air about 250C; sea above 20 0C).

LANGUAGE

The official language of the Seminar will be English.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME

To provide optimal opportunities for participants in the Seminar, and their accompanying persons, a varied and entertaining social and cultural program will be provided.

Varna and its surroundings provide excellent opportunities for optional guided tours and excursions. To mention a few from a long list:

The water attractions of "Aquapolis" and the Dolphinarium
